Volgograd is a part of Russia and has an east-west extension of about 350 km. From north to south it is approximately 370 km. The biggest cities are Volgograd and Volzhskiy. It has a very good nature and climate during the year.

Volgograd climate is temperate and mild, characterized by warm summers and fairly severe winters. The weather is often breezy and humid due to the proximity of the Volga river

Volgograd is one of the warmest region in Russia with an average daily high temperature of 14 degrees centigrade. The climate is much more unsettled than in central Europe and offers varied seasons with deep winters and warm summers. Due to the warmer temperatures the best time for traveling is from May to September. Nearly unattractive for tourists are the cold months from November to March.
